Sports can break language barriers and enable people from different backgrounds and races to communicate and build relationships. By introducing rugby into grassroots communities, social integration can be promoted, allowing marginalized communities to gain confidence and expand their social circles. In this episode, we will interview players from the Deaf Rugby Team and the Domestic Workers Rugby Team, allowing them to share how rugby has changed their lives.

Furthermore, we will also introduce the increasingly popular school rugby in recent years. With a growing number of participants, the sport has developed rapidly and matured. Whether it is the women's team or elementary school students, students are fully engaged in this sport. This time, we will learn about the future prospects of school rugby."

In Hong Kong, there are over 15 local rugby clubs of various sizes, and the league is thriving. Many resources come from the proceeds of the Hong Kong International Rugby Sevens.

This cycle of resource ecosystem has been supporting the development of rugby at different levels and ages, gradually popularizing the sport locally. In recent years, the local women's super league has reached a certain level in terms of players, teams, and coaching staff in the Asian region, and each club is willing to invest more resources in its development, bringing forth exciting rugby seasons.

The Hong Kong Rugby Union has undergone multiple league restructurings, aiming to involve teams from different regions and skill levels in rugby. Among them, the Tuen Mun Pandas, rooted in the New Territories for many years, achieved their best results in the community league this year since the establishment of the club.

Coach (鄭政浩) from South Korea, being one of the founding members of the club, returned to Hong Kong this year to coach both the Tuen Mun team and the Education University men's team. He has a unique passion for rugby. The Education University of Hong Kong is part of the intercollegiate league and also serves as a nurturing ground for Hong Kong national team members.

The Hong Kong International Rugby Sevens brings economic benefits and positive publicity to the food, beverage, hotel, and tourism industries in Hong Kong. Shopping mall groups in the area sponsor local youth leagues and collaborate with clubs to offer rugby interest classes in their rooftop gardens, promoting the sport.

This year, after the pandemic, the Rugby Sevens tournament is officially being held again. The Hong Kong Tourism Board has organized a series of promotional activities, aiming to extend the Sevens atmosphere from the main stadium all the way to Victoria Harbour.

Hong Kong Radio Television (HKRT) has obtained exclusive broadcasting rights for the first time, broadcasting all the exciting matches. With the spirit of promoting sports, they hope to provide channels for people from different backgrounds to enjoy the games and create the capital of Asian sports events!
