Humanity is rapidly consuming Earth’s precious, ancient, fresh water supplies and simultaneously removing nature’s ability to replenish them. People are already on the front line of this rapidly unfolding crisis – people who, unlike most of us, do not have the luxury of thinking water scarcity is someone else’s business. In Africa, Kansas, California, Brazil – and even in space - we find ourselves on a truly global journey as drought begins to threaten every corner of the earth.

Through our character’s stories we realise that water stress is in fact one of the first, tangible symptoms of our new reality: a planet that simply cannot cope with the over consumption, over population and assault on natural systems that modern life requires to sustain it.

On Easter 2018, a man put on a backpack and went live on Facebook to announce that he was beginning a walk across Armenia. His mission: to inspire a velvet revolution — and topple the corrupt regime that enjoys absolute power in his post-soviet nation.

The movement begins hopelessly, with Nikol and just a handful of supporters — including a stray dog — setting out on a 14-day march from one side of the country to the capital Yerevan. As they clash against the regime, there are many moments when their efforts seem doomed to fail, like every democratic movement in Armenia before them. But this time something is different. Step by step, the marchers begin to capture the hearts and minds of the Armenian public.

The last 50 years, we have lost roughly half of the planet’s coral. These vital underwater ecosystems are being wiped out by overfishing, pollution, and more catastrophically, rising water temperatures due to climate change. Scientists predict that in 30 years, nearly all of the world’s coral will be lost, as part of an environmental disaster threatening food security for hundreds of millions of people worldwide and irreparably harming ocean ecosystems. But new ground-breaking scientific discoveries are offering a glimmer of hope.

In the midst of a global uprising against police brutality and systemic racism, NO VISIBLE TRAUMA examines a deeply troubled police department and reveals the devastating consequences of unchecked police brutality. Despite its relatively low crime rates, recent years have seen the Calgary Police Service shoot and kill more people than officers in any other Canadian city, and more than either the New York or Chicago police departments in 2018.

Five years in the making, the film unravels the intertwined stories of three individuals who were the victims of extreme violence at the hands of police officers. From the kidnapping and beating of a young immigrant from Ghana, to the fatal shooting of an unarmed man during a “wellness check”, the film exposes a criminal justice system that fails to hold police officers accountable for their actions.

This is a searing, on-the-ground look inside President Duterte’s bloody campaign against suspected drug dealers and users in the Philippines. On the President’s Orders is based on unprecedented access to the police themselves, as well as President Duterte’s own statements and speeches, and time spent with victims–exposing a murky world where crime, drugs, poverty and politics converge.

Award-winning directors James Jones and Olivier Sarbil (Mosul) examined the continuing suspicions that police have been carrying out extrajudicial killings–despite Duterte promising to scale back his war on drugs. In addition to speaking with the families of drug users and victims, Jones and Sarbil embedded with a police unit in Caloocan, Manila, offering an unfiltered glimpse into their world and the officers’ modus operandi. The film also illustrates how President Duterte’s crackdown on drug users has greatly affected the country’s most impoverished citizens—a campaign that citizen protestors say is “clearly a war on the poor.”

From Larry Nassar abusing girl gymnasts to the scandal at USA Swimming, many recent news stories have exposed the sexual abuse of minors in sport all over the world. They suggest an even broader phenomenon.

It’s thought that between 10 and 15% of athletes have been victims of sexual abuse. The number of children who are victims is estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands, with abuse more likely to be covered-up at elite levels. Children who practice sports are twice as likely to experience sexual abuse or harassment than those who don’t. The magnitude of this phenomenon probably exceeds the number of victims of pedophilia in the Church.

Based on an unprecedented investigation covering different sports in several different countries over a period of several years, we reveal how the system often protects the abuser.
