    Since collaborations with our country on Belt and Road related projects, Indonesia and our country have continued to work closely as partners with policies that complement each other. Indonesia has launched multiple cooperative projects with our country. Of these, the Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway is emblematic. It’s not only beneficial to the local transit, but also enhanced economic development along the railway.

    In this episode, we will delve into the inspiring journey of two young adults, Hanifa and Albert, from Indonesia. They arrived in Hong Kong to pursue higher education, thanks to the prestigious "Belt and Road" Scholarship. Their stories encompass not only their upbringing in Hong Kong but also shed light on Indonesia's active involvement in the collaborative efforts of the "Belt and Road" initiative, emphasizing high-quality development and fostering people-to-people exchanges. Furthermore, they will elucidate how Hong Kong serves as a functional platform for joint construction of the "Belt and Road," facilitating economic and trade cooperation among China, Indonesia, and other nations.

      As Africa’s largest trading partner and the fourth largest investor, China is closely connected the continent. In May 2022, the First International Colloquium on Belt and Road Initiative in Francophone Africa held in the Cameroon capital city of Yaoundé, scholars and officials agreed that the Initiative has made contributions to Africa. The Kribi Deep-water Port stands as one of the significant projects undertaken by Chinese enterprises in Cameroon. As the first large-scale deep-water port in the country, it serves to not only spur the development of the surrounding areas but also provides a crucial gateway for Central African nations.

      Hong Kong, as a vital functional platform for the "Belt and Road" Initiative, boasts numerous advantageous conditions that have attracted a diverse group of foreign individuals to work, invest, and conduct business. Among them is Deric, the interviewee from Cameroon featured in this episode. Currently employed at a multinational logistics company, he possesses unique insights into Hong Kong's role in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative.

      Towards the end of the episode, a gathering is arranged for a group of young individuals involved in the "Belt and Road" Initiative. They engage in meaningful exchanges, sharing their experiences of living in Hong Kong and discussing the benefits and prospects that the joint construction of the initiative has provided them. Lastly, the Chief Executive delivers words of encouragement to the young participants, expressing hope for their continued contributions to the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative.

      Thailand and Malaysia, two neighboring countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, have been increasingly engaged in cooperation with our country for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative. Notable cooperation projects include Thailand's industrial park, the China-Thailand High-Speed Railway, Malaysia's Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park, and the East Coast Railway.

      This episode will delve into the personal stories of Lucas and Marwin, two young adults from Thailand and Malaysia, respectively. They arrived in Hong Kong to pursue university studies through the prestigious "Belt and Road" Scholarship. Their narratives encompass their upbringing in Hong Kong and shed light on our country's role in the collaborative efforts of the "Belt and Road" initiative.       Africa, a continent closely bonded with our country. President Xi stressed that ‚”China and Africa has always been a community with a shared future”.

      China has been Africa’s largest trading partner for the past decade. Countries are intricately linked through cooperation and exchanges in terms of facilities connectivity and unhindered trade. Our country has made significant investments in Ethiopia and Ghana, with numerous companies establishing operations there and actively participating in the construction of numerous infrastructure facilities. Notable examples include Africa's first transnational electrified railway, the Addis Ababa-Djibouti Railway, and Ghana's second-largest hydropower station, the "Buwi Hydropower Station."

      This episode also features interviews with two doctoral students from Ethiopia and Ghana, offering their unique perspectives. Through their insights, we gain a glimpse of how Hong Kong, as a functional platform for collaborative "Belt and Road" initiatives, with its multicultural society, outstanding universities, and supporting infrastructure, attracts students from "Belt and Road"-related countries to pursue their studies, engage in exchanges, and chase their dreams.

      2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the the "Belt and Road" initiative. The cooperation among different countries has yielded outstanding results. After a decade of cooperation and endeavors, our Country has signed over 200 cooperative documents with more than 150 countries and 32 international organisations, with projects spanning Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and Oceana.

      Russia is our country's close neighbor and an important cooperative partner, with their economic structures complementing each other. This episode highlights the cooperation and development between our country and Russia within the framework of the "Belt and Road" Initiative. Additionally, it introduces the daily lives of two Russian doctoral students in Hong Kong and their experiences of personal growth. These students were supported by the "Belt and Road" Scholarship. Let's witness how cultural exchanges facilitated by the "Belt and Road" Initiative can achieve “people-to-bond”.
