CIBS Programme: Wham Bam Tram! The Hong Kong Urban Transit Show (交通刺針)

    簡介

    GIST

A noisy, hard-talking show dedicated to Hong Kong transport in all its wonderful forms, from walkability to water taxis, from broken MTR rails to broken environmental promises, an objective platform holding government and politicians accountable for our local transport.

    節目尖銳地討論香港交通的各種奇觀,從易行城市談到水上的士,再從港鐵路軌斷裂談到環保承諾落空。本節目是促請政府及政治人物就本港交通問題問責的客觀平台。

Episode 13: The 15-minute community of Mui Wo

We're getting out into the great outdoors, visiting the "15 minute community" of Mui Wo and finding out how the government's "facelift" plans for the ferry pier might jeopardise the development of cycling in the district. Host James Ockenden, editor of Transit Jam, meets campaigner Kathyrn Davies, who takes us on a tour of the villages and shows how the growth of cars – illegally driving on closed roads – is threatening their way of life. And we ask Martin Turner, chairman of the Hong Kong Cycling Alliance, for the highlights of Wham Bam Tram's first season!
